Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun will remain with Movistar KOI for the 2027 season after extending his contract with the Spanish organization for another year.
Movistar KOI confirmed the extension on September 22, securing one of the key pieces of its League of Legends roster ahead of the 2027 season. Jojopyun's previous agreement was due to expire at the end of 2026.
The Canadian mid laner joined the organization at the end of 2024 and has since become an important part of MKOI's LEC lineup alongside Myrwn, Elyoya, Supa and Alvaro.
Jojopyun stays with Movistar KOI
The announcement ends one of the major questions surrounding Movistar KOI's future roster. The organization had already been working on keeping key members of its lineup beyond the 2026 season.
Jojopyun will now continue his career in Europe rather than becoming available after the end of the current season. His new agreement keeps him with Movistar KOI through 2027.
MKOI preparing for Worlds 2026
The contract extension comes shortly after Movistar KOI finished second in the 2026 LEC Summer Split. The team reached the Grand Final before losing 0–3 to G2 Esports.
Movistar KOI has also qualified for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, meaning the team can now turn its attention to Worlds with Jojopyun's future already secured for another season.
