Gen.G swept Invictus Gaming 3–0 on November 7 in Allen, Texas, to become the first finalist at Worlds 2026. It is the team’s first Worlds final under the Gen.G name. The organisation last reached one in 2017 as Samsung Galaxy.

Invictus Gaming came closest to taking a game in the third. It led 6–0 in kills and by more than 4,000 gold, but Gen.G stole a dragon that would have secured Mountain Soul for IG and then took Baron. IG still claimed the Soul later. Duro finally caught JiaQi’s Ezreal with a Nautilus hook, opening the fight that let Gen.G push down mid and end the series.

Gen.G had already beaten IG in Swiss and swept LYON in the quarterfinals. The LCK top seed now heads to Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the November 14 final, where it will face the winner of T1 versus Bilibili Gaming.
