G2 Esports has ended its collaboration with League of Legends head coach Luka “Perkz” Perković. CEO Alban Dechelotte announced the decision on November 5 after Perkz shared a lengthy post reflecting on his career and expressing his views on abortion.
In the statement reproduced by Sheep Esports, Dechelotte said some of the comments conflicted with the organisation’s values and apologised to fans who were hurt by them. He said G2 would now focus on rebuilding its staff and roster, with further changes to be announced once free agency opens.
G2 has yet to name a successor
Perkz returned to the club as a positional coach before taking over from Dylan Falco in July, ahead of the Esports World Cup. He coached G2 through its LEC Summer title and a 1–3 Worlds Swiss run that ended with a loss to Hanwha Life Esports.
G2 has not announced who will take over. Sheep Esports previously linked Vitality’s Pad with a strategic coaching role, and reported that Lyncas would replace SkewMond in the jungle. Both moves remain unconfirmed, and the Pad report did not identify him as the next head coach.
