G2 Esports is reportedly bringing Patrick “Pad” Suckow-Breum into its coaching staff for the 2027 LEC season. The Vitality head coach would take a strategic coaching role, according to a November 3 report from Sheep Esports.
A move between LEC rivals
Wooloo, Anonimotum and Eros report that Pad is expected to replace Memento. They say he discussed other options, including staying at Vitality, before choosing G2. His Vitality contract is due to expire on November 16, according to the report.
Pad joined Vitality’s staff for 2024 and became its head coach for the 2026 season. Before that, he held several coaching and player-development roles at MAD Lions. Vitality’s official 2026 roster announcement confirms his promotion to head coach.
Two teams preparing for 2027
The report follows G2’s elimination from Worlds against HLE. It also adds a potential destination for Pad after earlier reports linking Wadi and Reha with Vitality’s next coaching staff.
Neither G2 nor Vitality has officially announced the move. G2’s team page still lists Memento as assistant coach, so the reported replacement should not yet be treated as a completed public roster change.
