Lyncas is reportedly set to join G2 Esports from Team Vitality for the 2027 LEC season, replacing SkewMond in the jungle. Sheep Esports named the Lithuanian as G2’s intended replacement in a November 4 follow-up to its earlier report on SkewMond’s future.
Update, November 4: Updated with Sheep’s follow-up naming Lyncas as G2’s intended replacement. Neither club has officially announced the transfer.
Lyncas would reunite with Pad
Wooloo, Anonimotum and Eros report that GIANTX and Vitality also made offers to Linas “Lyncas” Nauncikas, while Fnatic held talks with him. The report says his Vitality contract is approaching its end.
A move would reunite him with Pad, who is separately reportedly joining G2 as a strategic coach. Lyncas and Pad already worked together at Vitality.
SkewMond’s situation remains separate
Sheep’s earlier report said SkewMond would leave G2’s active roster despite a deal running until November 2028. G2 reportedly wants a buyout, so the proposed lineup change does not mean he is a free agent. No new team has been announced for him.
The reports follow G2’s Swiss Stage elimination against HLE, after a season in which SkewMond helped the team win all three LEC titles. Caps and Hans sama also have contracts beyond this offseason, according to Sheep.
Both the Lyncas arrival and SkewMond’s removal from the starting five remain unconfirmed by G2.
