Cloud9 has reportedly given starting AD carry Tactical permission to speak to other teams for 2027. Sheep Esports reported on November 8 that Cloud9 is also looking at alternatives in bot lane. The club has not announced a departure or a replacement.
Tactical is under contract through November 20, 2028, according to the report. A move would require a transfer, a trade or an agreement to end his contract. He joined Cloud9 in June after winning the North American Challengers League with Conviction, then took over the starting spot from Zven.
Cloud9 is now weighing a change to its Worlds lineup
Sheep Esports previously reported that former starters APA and Zven were set to leave, and its latest report says both have been released. They had already lost their places to Loki and Tactical. A move involving Tactical would change the five that earned Cloud9 its first Worlds berth since 2023.
Cloud9 finished third in LCS Summer but went out in the play-ins after a 3–1 loss to FURIA on October 16. Support Vulcan, who publicly criticised the team’s performance after the defeat, has since extended his Cloud9 contract through 2029.
