Cloud9 could begin their offseason with two departures. Midlaner APA and AD carry Zven are reportedly set to leave the organisation, while support Vulcan’s blunt reaction to the team’s Worlds 2026 elimination underlines the frustration at the end of the season.
The potential exits have not been officially confirmed. Both players are reportedly exploring their options for next season, with no confirmed destination for either.
APA and Zven had already left the starting lineup
The timing puts the report alongside Cloud9’s early Worlds exit, but the roster context matters. APA and Zven were no longer the team’s starting midlaner and botlaner at the tournament. Loki and Tactical had already taken those positions earlier in the season.
The reported moves would therefore settle the futures of two former starters rather than announce two fresh replacements in the lineup that competed at Worlds. They also do not, on their own, confirm any changes involving the five players who represented C9 in the play-in stage.
For Cloud9, it is another unresolved part of the transition into 2027. Until an official announcement arrives, neither player’s departure nor their next team should be treated as confirmed.
“We are pathetic”: Vulcan after the FURIA defeat
Cloud9’s Worlds campaign ended with a 3–1 loss to FURIA in the lower bracket. C9 won the opening map, but the Brazilian side answered with three consecutive victories to eliminate them from the tournament.

The support’s reaction was the sharpest public assessment of the result. Tactical also expressed disappointment with his own performance, while head coach IWillDominate accepted responsibility for the team’s inability to bounce back and maintain its level.
The defeat was especially painful after Cloud9 had pushed Karmine Corp to five games in their opener. C9 had led that series 2–1 before losing the final two maps. Their next appearance became an elimination match, and FURIA made sure there would be no third chance.

The two stories capture different sides of Cloud9’s offseason: uncertainty over the futures of former starters and public frustration from the players who finished the campaign. Neither establishes what the full 2027 lineup will look like.
