Movistar KOI and LYON are one series away from the Worlds 2026 quarterfinals. KOI beat CTBC Flying Oyster to reach 2–0, while LYON stopped Karmine Corp’s winning start. Top Esports won the Chinese derby against Anyone’s Legend, leaving the LPL’s first seed at 0–2.
The second Swiss round took place on October 24 in Texas and finished overnight into October 25 for European viewers. All eight games were best-of-ones. The next round raises the stakes: the first qualification and elimination series are now set.
MKOI make it two wins from two
After beating Bilibili Gaming in their opener, Movistar KOI followed up with a victory over CTBC Flying Oyster. The result puts them alongside Gen.G, Dplus KIA and LYON in the unbeaten pool. For European fans, KOI now have the clearest route to an early Playoffs place.
Their next opponent is Dplus KIA. Winning that best-of-three would send KOI straight into the quarterfinals at 3–0; losing would leave them with another opportunity in the 2–1 pool. CFO, meanwhile, drop to 1–1 and will face T1.
LYON beat KC and join the 2–0 pool
Karmine Corp could not repeat their opening victory over Anyone’s Legend. LYON won their meeting and moved to 2–0, giving Inspired’s team a qualification series against Gen.G. KC finish the day at 1–1 and will meet Bilibili Gaming in Round 3.
KC are still in contention, but must now take a longer route to the knockout stage. BLG recovered from their opening loss to KOI, so the next round offers another chance for a European team to beat the Chinese second seed.
TES beat AL as China gets back on the board
Top Esports won the all-LPL clash against Anyone’s Legend, recovering to 1–1 after their opening loss to Hanwha Life Esports. For AL, the consequences are much heavier: a second defeat leaves no room for another lost series. They must win three consecutive best-of-threes to advance.
Invictus Gaming also recovered by beating Team Secret Whales, while Bilibili Gaming defeated Team Liquid Alienware. Three Chinese teams therefore end Round 2 at 1–1, with AL alone in the elimination pool. TES will face G2 next, bringing another LPL–LEC meeting to the schedule.
DK beat T1, Gen.G stay unbeaten and G2 recover
Two Korean clashes split the LCK’s four representatives. Dplus KIA beat T1 to join the 2–0 group, while Gen.G defeated Hanwha Life Esports. T1 and HLE both move to 1–1.
G2, meanwhile, beat LØS to recover from their opening defeat against DK. Europe finishes the round with KOI unbeaten and both G2 and KC at 1–1. Nobody has qualified or been eliminated yet.

Round 3 draw: KOI face DK, KC draw BLG
The third round is split across October 25 and 26. The 2–0 series decide the first quarterfinalists, while the losers of the 0–2 series go home. Matches between 1–1 teams remain best-of-one.
For Europe, the headline is KOI’s chance to qualify against DK. G2 have TES in another test against China, while KC face BLG. AL and Liquid meet with their tournament lives on the line, guaranteeing that one of those regional first seeds will be eliminated.
Play begins at 18:00 CET on both October 25 and 26. Europe switches to winter time on October 25, so the opening match starts one hour earlier on the local clock than on Day 2. Check the match schedule and results for individual fixtures.
