China finished the first day of the Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage without a single win. Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp both beat LPL opponents, while all four Korean teams won their openers. G2 missed out after Dplus KIA overturned their early advantage.

The opening round began on October 23 and finished overnight into October 24 for viewers in Europe. Eight best-of-ones split the field into two groups: eight teams at 1–0 and eight at 0–1. Nobody has qualified or been eliminated yet.

All eight Swiss Day 1 results

Gen.G 1–0 Invictus Gaming

SWISS ROUND 1 · BO1 · FINISHEDGen.G1 – 0Invictus GamingView match →

Gen.G opened their Swiss campaign with a victory over Invictus Gaming. IG made the early stages competitive, but Gen.G found the stronger teamfights as the game developed. Chovy and Canyon helped turn a contested opening into the first Korean win of the day. For IG, the defeat meant an immediate move into the 0–1 pool.

Hanwha Life Esports 1–0 Top Esports

SWISS ROUND 1 · BO1 · FINISHEDHanwha Life Esports1 – 0Top EsportsView match →

Hanwha Life followed with a win against Top Esports, giving the LCK a second victory over Chinese opposition. HLE delivered a convincing opening performance and joined Gen.G at 1–0. TES now need a response in Round 2; one loss leaves plenty of room to recover, but another would bring them to the brink of elimination.

Bilibili Gaming 0–1 Movistar KOI

SWISS ROUND 1 · BO1 · FINISHEDBilibili Gaming0 – 1Movistar KOIView match →

Movistar KOI produced one of the opening round’s biggest results by beating Bilibili Gaming. Europe’s second seed overcame a difficult opponent and secured a place in the winning pool. It also changed the mood around the LEC after a demanding draw: KOI had turned their first major test into a valuable win, while BLG joined the growing list of Chinese teams at 0–1.

Anyone’s Legend 0–1 Karmine Corp

SWISS ROUND 1 · BO1 · FINISHEDAnyone's Legend0 – 1Karmine CorpView match →

Karmine Corp carried their Play-In momentum into Swiss with a victory over Anyone’s Legend. After qualifying through the opening stage, KC defeated the LPL’s first seed and gave Europe a second win against China. The result puts KC at 1–0 alongside KOI and leaves AL facing an early recovery job. A best-of-one is only one step, but this was a substantial one for KC.

G2 Esports 0–1 Dplus KIA

SWISS ROUND 1 · BO1 · FINISHEDG2 Esports0 – 1Dplus KIAView match →

G2 were unable to complete a perfect day for Europe. They built an early lead, but Dplus KIA recovered and took the game. The defeat was particularly frustrating because G2 had created a winning position before the momentum changed. DK joined the 1–0 group, while G2 became the only LEC representative to finish the opening round without a victory.

Team Liquid 0–1 CTBC Flying Oyster

SWISS ROUND 1 · BO1 · FINISHEDTeam Liquid0 – 1CTBC Flying OysterView match →

CTBC Flying Oyster beat Team Liquid to claim the first win for the LCP. Liquid were left chasing a recovery in the losing pool, while CFO earned a meeting with another opening-round winner. With both regions represented twice in Swiss, this was also the first half of a direct LCS–LCP comparison that would finish level by the end of the day.

LØS 0–1 T1

SWISS ROUND 1 · BO1 · FINISHEDLOS0 – 1T1View match →

T1 defeated LØS to complete a clean sweep for the LCK. All four Korean representatives ended the opening round at 1–0, a sharp contrast with China’s four defeats. For LØS, the task is now to reset against their next opponent. Losing the opener does not end a Swiss run, and the Brazilian side still have a route back into contention.

Team Secret Whales 0–1 LYON

SWISS ROUND 1 · BO1 · FINISHEDTeam Secret Whales0 – 1LYONView match →

LYON closed the round with a victory over Team Secret Whales. Berserker stood out on Ezreal as LYON secured a winning start, balancing the LCS–LCP head-to-head at one victory apiece. Secret Whales joined the 0–1 group, where the next match offers a chance to steady their tournament before elimination series come into view.

The regional picture after Round 1

The LCK lead the opening-day picture at 4–0. Europe finish 2–1, with KOI and KC responsible for two of China’s defeats. The LPL sit at 0–4, the LCS and LCP each finish 1–1, and Brazil start 0–1. Those records describe the opening round, rather than deciding how the rest of the event will unfold.

Round 2 draw: two Korean clashes

The winning pool pairs Dplus KIA with T1, Hanwha Life Esports with Gen.G, CTBC Flying Oyster with Movistar KOI, and LYON with Karmine Corp. Korea’s perfect start therefore guarantees two domestic matchups, while both European winners avoid the LCK in their next game.

In the 0–1 pool, G2 face LØS, Invictus Gaming meet Team Secret Whales, Top Esports play Anyone’s Legend, and Team Liquid take on Bilibili Gaming. The TES–AL pairing guarantees that one Chinese team will fall to 0–2. They would then need to win every remaining series to reach the Playoffs.

What comes next?

Swiss teams need three wins to advance and are eliminated after three losses. Round 2 remains best-of-one; advancement and elimination matches are best-of-three. Follow the match schedule and results for the next round.
