The Worlds 2026 Swiss draw is complete, and Europe have a demanding opening round: Karmine Corp meet Anyone's Legend, G2 Esports face Dplus KIA, and Movistar KOI take on Bilibili Gaming. Sixteen teams will compete for eight places in the Knockout Stage.
Following KC's Play-In qualification, the main-event field is set. The Swiss Stage runs from October 23–31 in Allen, Texas. Round 1 consists of eight best-of-one matches, with two LCK–LPL clashes and two LCS–LCP meetings alongside the three European openers and LOS–T1.
When does the Swiss Stage start?
The first day's broadcast starts on Friday, October 23 at 17:00 UTC / 19:00 CEST / 12:00 CDT. The cards below use the current eRift match schedule. Later start times are provisional and can move with the broadcast. In Poland, the last three scheduled games fall after midnight on October 24.
These are opening-round fixtures, not results. Each match card opens its eRift page for the current schedule and team information.
Gen.G vs Invictus Gaming: Korea's first seed meets China's fourth
ROUND 1 · BO1 · 10/23 17:00 UTC · OCT 23 19:00 CESTThe draw opens with a direct LCK–LPL meeting. Gen.G enter from the top seed in Korea, while Invictus Gaming occupy the LPL's fourth slot. That seeding gives the matchup a clear contrast on paper, but a best-of-one leaves neither team a second map to repair a poor start. For IG, an opening upset would immediately change the shape of their Swiss run.
Team Liquid vs CTBC Flying Oyster: an LCS–LCP opener
ROUND 1 · BO1 · 10/23 18:00 UTC · OCT 23 20:00 CESTNorth America's first seed face the LCP's second representative. This is a useful early test of the two regions against each other, with both teams starting from exactly the same 0–0 position. The winner joins the 1–0 draw; the loser must recover in the 0–1 pool. Neither result decides qualification, but it changes the next opponent pool.
Anyone's Legend vs Karmine Corp: KC's next level of difficulty
ROUND 1 · BO1 · 10/23 19:00 UTC · OCT 23 21:00 CESTKC's reward for winning the Play-In is a meeting with the LPL's first seed. Their 3–0 final victory over MVK completed a 9–2 map record, but that run provides no automatic advantage in Swiss: the record resets. Anyone's Legend offer a different benchmark, and KC must make their first draft and opening game count against the highest-seeded Chinese team.
G2 Esports vs Dplus KIA: Europe's first seed face Korea
ROUND 1 · BO1 · 10/23 20:00 UTC · OCT 23 22:00 CESTG2 avoid KC under the first-round regional restriction and instead draw the LCK's fourth seed. It is another cross-region test rather than a domestic rematch. For G2, the opening challenge is to turn their top LEC seeding into a winning start; for Dplus, beating Europe's first seed would be an immediate statement. The best-of-one format makes preparation for a single draft especially important.
Hanwha Life Esports vs Top Esports: a second LCK–LPL clash
ROUND 1 · BO1 · 10/23 21:00 UTC · OCT 23 23:00 CESTThe other Korean–Chinese pairing brings together the LCK's second seed and the LPL's third. It makes Round 1 particularly revealing for the two regions: both this game and Gen.G–IG contribute to the opening picture, though two best-of-ones cannot settle a broader regional comparison. One of HLE and TES will begin their campaign from the losing pool.
LOS vs T1: Brazil face the defending champions
ROUND 1 · BO1 · 10/23 22:00 UTC · OCT 24 00:00 CESTBrazil's first seed have drawn T1. The pairing gives LOS an immediate opportunity against one of the tournament's most closely followed teams, while T1 must avoid giving an underdog room to take over a single game. A win here is only the beginning of Swiss, but for LOS it would make the opening round a very different story.
Team Secret Whales vs LYON: another LCP–LCS meeting
ROUND 1 · BO1 · 10/23 23:00 UTC · OCT 24 01:00 CESTThe LCP's first seed face North America's second, reversing the seed arrangement of Liquid–CFO. Together, the two pairings give fans an early look at both regions' Swiss representatives against each other. The immediate objective is simple: reach the 1–0 group and keep the first elimination-pressure match further away.
Bilibili Gaming vs Movistar KOI: no easy opening for Europe
ROUND 1 · BO1 · 10/24 00:00 UTC · OCT 24 02:00 CESTThe LPL and LEC second seeds complete the draw. With G2 facing Dplus and KC meeting Anyone's Legend, all three European teams start against Korean or Chinese opposition. KOI therefore have no gentle entry into the event. BLG, meanwhile, have the same best-of-one risk as every other favourite: a single defeat sends them into the 0–1 draw.
How the Swiss Stage works
Every team starts at 0–0. Three match wins earn a place in the quarter-finals; three match losses end a team's tournament. After each round, teams are drawn against opponents with the same record. Winning the opener therefore puts a team in the 1–0 pool rather than the 0–1 pool.
Opening matches are best-of-one. When a team can qualify or be eliminated, the series becomes best-of-three. Those decisive series use Fearless Draft, so champions already played in the series cannot be selected again.
Round 1 prevents same-region meetings. That restriction is lifted from Round 2, but repeat opponents are not allowed during Swiss. Later pairings depend on results and fresh draws; the eight fixtures above are not a fixed bracket leading to predetermined Round 2 opponents.
What to watch in Round 1
Europe's draw is the obvious pressure point, but it is not the whole story. Gen.G–IG and HLE–TES give the LCK and LPL two immediate head-to-head tests. Liquid–CFO and Whales–LYON provide a parallel comparison between North America and the LCP. LOS, meanwhile, have a chance to make the biggest opening-day headline against T1.
A 1–0 start is valuable without being decisive. Teams still need three wins to advance, and losing a best-of-one does not end their run. The first draw sets the opening challenge; performance over the following rounds determines who reaches the final eight.
