MVK kept their Worlds campaign alive; FURIA's run is over. The only series on October 17 ended 3–1 to the Vietnamese side, setting up another meeting with Karmine Corp. Away from Worlds, BRION are reportedly choosing continuity for 2027.
MVK 3–1 FURIA: a second win, and a second chance against KC
OCT 17 · WORLDS PLAY-IN · LOWER BRACKET FINALMVK won the first two maps before FURIA took the third to stay alive. The Brazilian side could not force a fifth: MVK closed the series in map four. It followed their 3–0 opening-round win over the same opponents, giving MVK a combined 6–1 map record against FURIA at this Worlds.
FURIA leave in 18th place, one position above the Cloud9 team they eliminated a day earlier. Their recovery against C9 earned them another series, but MVK ended that route to Swiss.
One Swiss spot remains
MVK now face Karmine Corp on October 18 at 20:00 CEST / 18:00 UTC. KC won their upper-bracket meeting 3–0. The rematch is a best-of-five with the last Swiss Stage place at stake.

BRION reportedly want to keep all five players for 2027
In a separate offseason development, reports published on October 16 indicate that HANJIN BRION have reached agreements to retain their entire starting roster for the 2027 LCK season. This remains a sourced report rather than an official announcement from the organisation.
The five players match the lineup listed on eRift's Team WE–BRION match page:
BRION reached the Demacia Cup Global Invitational semi-finals after beating LGD Gaming 3–1 in the quarter-finals. Their run ended against Team WE in a five-map series, 2–3.
Keeping the group together would give that lineup another season to develop. Their reported plan concerns the same five players returning for LCK 2027; the semi-final appearance is the context for their recent progress.
